Pam’s passion for Pilates began after being diagnosed with cancer in 2000. After numerous surgeries and the trauma of the illness, she lost much of her range of motion in her upper body.
Running marathons and routine exercise programs were no longer an option for her.
Upon discovering and engaging herself in the discipline of Pilates, the methodologies made such a difference in her physical health and helped rebuild so much of her lost mobility that she went on to further her knowledge, skills and Pilates acumen.
Pam became certified through Physical Mind and later completed additional comprehensive studies with the Fletcher Pilates Comprehensive Program of Study. She trained directly under Ron Fletcher. This extensive training involved all of the Pilates apparatus, as well as the Spine Corrector.
Pam holds numerous certifications in various programs including personal training, group fitness, water sports, and pilates.
She is currently the National Education Director for the Pilates Institute of America (PIA) as well as a United States Master Teacher for PowerFingers.
